Parts of YOU you haven’t used yet.
Learning to Step Into Your Full Potential with Acting Out of Character™
We all have that one kitchen drawer with things we might use one day: a melon baller, a garlic press, maybe a corkscrew shaped like a flamingo.
Now imagine your personality has one of those drawers too.
At Acting Out of Character™, we like to think of every person as a walking rehearsal studio — packed with roles, expressions, and emotional tools you haven’t fully explored yet. Not because they’re not in you, but because you’ve been cast in the same type of part for way too long.
Maybe you’ve always played “the Responsible One.”
Or “the Quiet Listener.”
Or “the Class Clown Who Covers Up Insecurity with Humor.”
(No judgment, I’ve played that role too.)
But just because that’s the role you’ve gotten used to doesn’t mean it’s the only one available.

Here’s Where the AOC Method Comes In:
We use acting techniques to stretch into the parts of ourselves we’ve left behind—or never even met. Think of it like method acting for real life.
The AOC method isn’t about pretending. It’s about practicing.
Through improv, character switching, emotional recall, body awareness, and our signature AWARE technique, we help people rehearse traits they thought they “weren’t wired for.”
Confidence. Assertiveness. Warmth. Clarity. Playfulness. Even stillness.
Because guess what? You’re not just the person you’ve been.
You’re also the person you could be.

Kolb’s Learning Cycle… With a Spotlight
If you’ve ever heard of experiential learning (hello, Kolb’s Cycle), you know growth doesn’t come from thinking harder. It comes from doing something, then reflecting, adjusting, and trying again.
We build our sessions around that exact model:
1. Concrete Experience: Try a new role in a safe scene (yes, even if it’s awkward).
2. Reflective Observation: What did it bring up?
3. Abstract Conceptualization: What does that mean for real life?
4. Active Experimentation: Now… try that “new part” in a real-life situation.

So What Are These “Unused Parts” of You?
• The confident speaker who just hasn’t rehearsed her voice yet.
• The empathetic listener behind the snark.
• The leader under the mask of people-pleasing.
• The relaxed version of you who isn’t always “on.”
These aren’t fantasies. They’re capacities. And you don’t need to wait for a life crisis, career change, or midlife enlightenment retreat to access them.
You just need practice. Rehearsal. A little direction. Maybe a mirror and a goofy improv game. We’ve got all of that.

What Role Do You Want to Rehearse Next?
You already have the range. You just haven’t explored the whole script. At Acting Out of Character™, we help you uncover what else is possible — by stepping out of your usual role and into new ones.
Because the parts of you you haven’t used yet…might be the ones that change everything.
